Dalhousie Castle Wedding

Drone shot of the Scottish flag blowing atop Dalhousie Castle on an overcast day

Josie & Luke had the photo & film package with just myself shooting. This lovely, intimate wedding of 30 was beautiful and I loved every minute of it. Coming up from Manchester for a Scottish wedding they had the run of Dalhousie castle and its wonderful grounds.

Bonnie the owl delivered the rings (silently, in a very dark room!) the Canon R6 had no problem catching focus in a thousandth of a second. If you watch the film at the bottom of this page you will see the moment when I had my back turned to get into position.. and Bonnie took flight! Phew.

After their beautiful ceremony we did some group photos and then went a stroll newly weds and I round the grounds for half an hour.. and got magic. The mix of being so in love, newly married and just up for some photos and filming makes for amazing images. I wish we could do it all again.

I was invited to eat with the guests and had an amazing meal and blether with the loveliest of people. What a kind bunch they all were, warm and fun!

The party went on into the night with music from Addiction wedding band. I even did a gay Gordons with the mother of the Groom as none of these guys got made to learn them during PE at primary school. Remember how awkward it was holding someones sweaty hand? Me neither, its great fun and I always try to jump into the ceilidh dancing.

I really hope it isn’t too long until we all meet again. Haste ye back.
