Glenskirlie Castle Wedding - Glasgow Wedding Photographer

The incredible sunny winter wedding day of Sharon and Paul at Glenskirlie. I originate from Dunipace, a few miles away from the Glenskirlie. The bedroom in the castle is devine. I have only included a handful here but I just kept shooting and shooting in this gorgeous golden light. The dress truly deserved a few hundred images! At first I wasn’t sure what to do with the chains, then they became my favourite thing in the room. This is where having a creative wedding photographer really comes in. A strictly reportage or documentary photographer may approach a challenging location with a ‘photograph as is’ mindset. That isn’t how I roll! The day was filled with real emotional moments, and I loved how friendly and fun all of the guests were coming together.

I absolutely love the gardens in night time - the couple portraits at the end of the day have such a charming atmosphere. Easy to forget that it was January and very, very cold!

I realise the venue is a ‘central belt’ venue catering to Glasgow as much as any of the towns that were my stomping ground. Maybe I should change my online tags from Dundee wedding photographer to Falkirk wedding photographer or Stirling wedding photographer?!
